Despite what many believe, experiencing the supernatural is a feat that is within reach of most people.  They are just too closed minded to acknowledge it.  Yet, the majority of those who have experienced the paranormal often recall being spoken to or visited by a loved one who has passed on.  Though there will always be skeptics who refute existence of spirits or supernatural beings, the growing number of personal experiences are hard to ignore, while the events themselves are difficult to explain using other ideologies and beliefs.

Personally, I will never forget my experience with the spirit of a loved one that had passed.  To give you a little background, I had a relative to pass away and my family asked me to be in charge of his estate.  Well, this proved to be a much more daunting task than initially estimated.  After several months of headaches, I was finally able to pay the majority of his bills and send money to his survivors.  Well, the night before I was going to send the checks out, this relative appeared at the foot of my bed.  He appeared before me and seemed to be extending his hand to me as if he wished to shake my hand.  Dressed in the suit that he was buried in, it’s as if he smiled at me.  I was nervous and afraid, managing only to say that I was doing the best I could before he was gone.

Experiences with the paranormal and supernatural tend to vary in their magnitude; yet there are a few common threads in the various stories that you may hear or experiences that you may have.   Unlike the Hollywood versions, rarely are chains clinking, and ghostly images present.  Again, most who have spoken of personal experiences with the supernatural report of being in contact with a deceased loved one.  Typically, the person is alone and most describe their loved one as speaking to them or trying to convey a message to them.

Many other people who have these experiences choose not to discuss them for fear that their friends and family may not believe.  Regardless of whether you choose to discuss your experience with others or not, remember that your loved ones would not appear to hurt you.  Keep your mind open, stay calm, and try to learn what the spirit wants to say or convey to you.    

Personal experience with the supernatural can be life altering.  But I have been told, and firmly believe that spirits and supernatural beings will only show themselves to you when you have the ability and mental capacity to handle it.
