Full Body Apparitions

If orbs and mist are at one end of the paranormal spectrum, full body apparitions are at the other. A full body apparition is a clear sighting of a ghost or spirit in full, as the name implies. These ghosts may or may not be evil, but experts believe that a full body apparition means something significant, as most paranormal sightings are in the form of shadows, mist, and partial apparitions.

Personal Experiences

Despite what many believe, experiencing the supernatural is a feat that is within reach of most people. They are just too closed minded to acknowledge it. Yet, the majority of those who have experienced the paranormal often recall being spoken to or visited by a loved one who has passed on. Though there will always be skeptics who refute existence of spirits or supernatural beings, the growing number of personal experiences are hard to ignore, while the events themselves are difficult to explain using other ideologies and beliefs.

Demonic Possession

Demonic possession is an accepted possibility in many of the world’s societies and religions. The belief that a demon can enter and inhabit a person’s body, temporarily taking control of his or her actions exists in Christianity, in Judaism, in Islam, in Hinduism and in many other cultures. In past centuries, many people that we now know are mentally or physically ill would have been diagnosed as suffering a demonic possession. Some of the explanations that have been offered to account for stories of demonic possession include schizophrenia, Tourette’s Syndrome and epilepsy.

The concept of a spirituality that embraces the pure form of the spirit without any of the restrictions or guidelines that go hand in hand with religion has led many people to think of spirituality with the same fear and disdain that the word “Witchcraft” generated during the Salem witch trials. In many ways, they aren’t so far off. Spirituality and the paranormal do go hand in hand…they just aren’t the unholy duo that they are often falsely accused of being.
